IP PROXY

πŸŒπŸ” IP API: IP Proxy Type detection

We are excited to unveil a significant enhancement to our platform: the IP Proxy Detection feature. This new capability allows us to identify whether an IP address is originating from a major commercial proxy provider and further distinguish the type of proxy used, be it residential or data-center.

Introducing IP Proxy Detection

IP Proxy Detection is crafted to offer businesses a deeper layer of insight into their web traffic, enhancing security measures and data integrity. By detecting and categorizing proxy usage, Trustfull users can now gain a clearer understanding of their traffic sources.

πŸ”‘ New Signals Introduced:

  • proxy_type: This signal categorizes the detected proxy into 'residential' or 'data-center', providing users with detailed information about the nature of the proxy.
  • proxy_name: Alongside the type, this signal identifies the name of the commercial proxy provider, offering further clarity on the origin of the web traffic.

DEPRECATE FIXED_LINE

Scheduled Removal Date: 2024-05-01

Beginning on 2024-05-01, calls made to fixed lines using our Phone API will be rejected by the system. Trustful prioritizes the digital footprint and online presence, and fixed lines do not offer the meaningful information required to accurately assess an identity's quality.

Mitigation for This Change:

No workaround will be provided for fixed-line calls.
